Its app lacks advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It does support Alexa however, its voice controls aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit flaky when it returns to the charging station following an exercise. Other robots can follow the wall or trace the previous route however, the RX3 stumbles around until it finally gives up.
Another issue we faced was with its smart features, particularly the mapping function and digital keep-out zones. It was great at keeping our shoes and furniture legs away however it could easily get caught on cables, socks, and carpets. This is the reason we decided not to include it in our Best Buy list. With a decent price and a dazzling performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for a smarter alternative to the traditional uprights.
